A Post...Wow!

Here I am with a few uninterrupted minutes on the computer! A rare commodity for me these days.

I am finally resigning myself to the fact that winter is coming. I have been scraping my windows

nearly every morning, and I find myself wishing I had a garage! ( technically I DO have a garage, but I

Wont Go There!)  But since I must let my van sit out in the harsh elements,

I have devised a new "scraping" method:  dump a gallon jug of super hot water over my windshield

 then turning on my wipers! Presto! clear windshield, no waiting! This may not work when it gets

really cold, however, but for now its working great. Necessity really is the mother of invention.

I have NOT abandoned the blog...

      Really, I haven't. I am just particularly lazy about posting. I am lazy about other things too, sadly, but with my life I have to prioritize and sometimes the prioritizing is done for me. So I have been concentrating on things like housework, school and personal hygiene. :)

     I was at JC Penny's the other night and got sidetracked looking at down comforters. They seem so luxurious and I started thinking I need one before winter. My only concern is trying to find a cover for them, it seems there aren't a lot of choices in duvet covers, at least none that I like. Do they shift around and cause problems? Anyone out there who has a down/alternative comforter chime in and let me know if you like yours (or not) and why. They are pricey, even on sale and I don't want to make a several hundred dollar mistake. I am also eying the memory foam mattress topper (another couple hundred!) Again, if they shift all over or shred up after a few months I don't want to waste my money. It's ludicrous that the bedding costs almost as much as a new bed!
